Hola Maite,
Excelente imagen de la popular chicharra.
En realidad yo creo que nunca las había podido detallar así tan de cerca, sino mas bien escuchado su característico sonido, que por aquí ocurre hacia mediados de año.
Impresionante la toma de la hembra poniendo los huevos en el WS.
Felicitaciones y gracias por compartir la foto.

complimenti per questa sequenza di tre foto di E. ephippiger.
Fra le tre quella che preferisco è la femmina che depone le uova.

Pin-point focusing and superb sharpness.
You used a perfect DOF as well :)
--- A few minute OE areas, but like I said, they're minute so I'd be very harsh to say that it effects your picture in a negative way :)

Preciosa imagen con una bonita pose, gran definición y detalles, la luz y el fondo son excelentes, me alegra que le vayas perdiendo el miedo a estos insectos, la immensa mayoría son inofensivos y tienen mala fama (sobre todo chinches), muchos de ellos son vegetarianos suelen sorber los jugos de las plantas. The editing of the image has been done thoughtfully here, Maite. I too wouldn't worry too much about those clipped antennae because the real winner is that sharp and intriguing face of the cricket captured from an unusual point of view.
With aperture value at f/4, there would be points of over-exposure here and there; but then that's the chosen technique for creating an innovative picture, isn't it?

What an interesting image, amiga! Like an extramundi (extraterrestrial) monster from a 3rd rate sci-fi movie of the '80's. :) But as a photo, very fine low POV, great sharpness (except for the closer antenna, but it's impossible to focus on everything, I know) and bg. Really an outstanding capture done in the rightest moment, when the insect seemed like posing for You.
