Hallo Maite
This is surely a nice fat caterpillar, which you managed to capture very closely and with great sharpness. The detail is very clearly seen and you where lucky to capture this worm so close. I like the different shades of green and the texture on the back of the caterpillar and on the antenna is very well displayed. The dots on each segment of the body are well displayed. Well seen and captured. If the two black stripes on the head are the eyes, it will be a first for me, as I thought eyes is always supposed to be round or oval shaped.I also like the shadow of the antennas on the surface. Thanks for sharing, and have an enjoyable day.

Your green caterpillar reminds me a bt of the California banana slug. They however are much more slimy and a light brown...yet there is some similarity. Very nicely seen Maite!

Hello Maite!
I remember the time when I was rearing another species from this genus - Cerura vinula. The caterpillars were realy great coloured and when disturbed - they showed a red appendixes at the end of abdomen :)
This species from your picture was not known for me before. The caterpillar is similar in shape to Central European species but it also differs from them a little :)
