Welcome to TrekNature. I am always happy to meet someone interested in photography. I have only been active in TN since January so I am new here too. I suggest that you take some time to view a lot of the images posted here and read the critiques. I'm looking forward to seeing your progress here on TrekNature. You will be surprised how quickly you learn and how supportive this group can be. Be sure to write lots of critiques yourself so that people get to know your name and start looking for your photos. Also try to write a note about your photos. Write something about the subject, or the reason you took the picture or something about camera settings, or ask questions.
I will do a quick workshop with this photo. I wanted to give the main tree more prominence in the composition. I think if I crop out some of the sky the tree will be larger in proportion to the whole. I 'll crop some off the right side so the tree isn't so close to the center and the alternating shadows and tree trunks going into the distance on the left side will draw the viewer more into the scene. It's just an experiment.
