[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Estornino pinto. Sturnus vulgaris. Son aves robustas con picos largos y puntiagudos. Cola corta. Muy activos. Se alimentan a suelo descubierto. Sexos similares. Anidan en agujeros. 21 cm. Cabeza y cuerpo piriformes con alas puntiagudas. Silueta en vuelo tipo dardo, directo y muy veloz. Plumaje negruzco lustrado de verde, bronce y morado; muy salpicado de blanco en invierno, sobre todo la hembra. Pico del adulto oscuro en invierno y amarillo limón en primavera. Patas fuertes de color pardo-rojizo. De joven es pardo grisáceo con garganta blancuzca y pico y patas negruzcos. Se presenta en enormes bandadas en otoño e invierno, reuniéndose en ruidosos tropeles al atardecer sobre edificios urbanos, bosques y cañaverales. VOZ en reclamo un "chiier" duro y descentrante. Canto largo y prolijo que incluye claros silbidos , matraqueos y cloqueos. Suele anidar en agujeros de los árboles, edificios , etc.

Hi Ignasi,
Wonderful shot of these beautiful Starling pair with such fabulous details and markings on their plumage and lovely colours too. The blue sky as BG works well here and the natural lighting is well managed. Excellent POV and composition. Kudos.

Hi Ignasi. This is a bird a lot of people do not like because they make a lot of noise . to me they are very colourful and have some nice markings which you have captured well. with good natural colours. well done Ths.

i thinks is not easy to take pics of birds,i never try beacuse my camaera had a poor zoom,this is a very nice work for details and light position,have a nice day,Luciano
