Grifo, Eurasian griffon, (Gyps fulvus)

Hello TN Friends, today I present this picture of the griffon drying its wings...

The most common vulture on our skies, gliding for hours looking for something eatable... suddenly they fall over the breakfast, dozens of them,fighting for the best piece... then when satisfied they still around, perched on rocks or trees but not far... enjoying the morning light after a rainy night...
Sometimes like in this case they don't left the usual feeding place... always with sentinels is easier to get the food...

Excellent capture of this lovely species, Jose.

This species has been re-intorduced here after mass poisoning in the 1950's. In fact they brought in Spanish birds! Quite often I see them from my house, flying over the Mt. Carmel National Park.
