Chrysoteuchia culmella
(Linnaeus, 1758)
Wingspan c.20 mm.

As always :) a lot of similar species, so any other idents are welcome.

One 'grass moth'. This species flies in June and July and is easily distinguished with its one or two angled cross-lines and metallic golden fringe to the forewings.

By day it rests head-down on grass stalks, and is easily disturbed.

Its normal flight time is at night, when it is attracted to light.

The larvae feed on the stems of various types of grasses, usually at the base.

I found this info HERE.

ISO100 - F:8 - 1/125 sec. - Manual exposure - Diffuse flash - Handheld

Great close up look at this grass moth Felipe.
Kinda looks mean, but I know how small it really is,and quite harmless.
Beautiful macro.
Cheers,Steve

Hello Felipe,
Excellent POV, exposure, color, BG and I like the close-crop composition..
Sharp details, great use of F/8 with a perfect plane of focus :)
Very well done.

Dear Felipe and Cristina!
Three weeks abrod is enouth to see that to many interesting pictures were overlooked. And this one in a good example.
I like this very close close-up. Light and DOF are perfectly controlled here and moreover you showed us the beauty of rather "unicoloured" moth.
Very good work! :)
Have a nice afternoon,
Radomir
