Hello again.

This is a bottom view of a polypore, with the sun shining through it. I like to take this kind of shots to see clearly thr structure of the tubes/gills of the mushrooms, and some of them come out quite artistic :)

Polyporus tuberaster

In fact I am not very sure if this one is a Polyporus tuberaster or a Polyporus squamosus, but the small size, the place where I found it and the top view which is not visible here, makes me think about tuberaster.

Polyporus tuberaster is similar to P. squamosus by its scaly pilear surface, usually a black stipe basis, and similar pore and basidiospore size. The presence of sclerotia in the first species has traditionally been one of the basic characters to separate both species (Jahn 1969, Gilbertson & Ryvarden 1987). Nevertheless, Campbell & Munson (1936) reported formation of sclerotia-like structures of P. squamosus on elm wood blocks in laboratory studies. Donk (1960) suggested that both taxa could be conspecific. He separated both species by the different microstructure of their pilear scales, as Jahn did later (Jahn 1969).

Wow! This is a really cool perspective the POV couldn't be any better than this or at least more interesting. The networking pattern with the translucency makes this a very pleasing image to view. Very creative think went into this one. :)

What a unusual picture, but beautiful and a great idea for your composition. when you look at well to the cap of this mushroom the cap becomes fragile,haste delicate. The light trough the cap. Marvelous. You did a good job. Regards and TFS Bob

A wonderful photo of a very interesting structured fungi. Your idea of using the sun to back light the fungi is excellent. I really gave the fungi a different perspective. I think an even closer crop would be marvelous as well.

Hi Felipe. The name is just right. you have done so well with the light as you say so much like the sun. it has helped to bring out all the detail and sharp focusing.and warm colours. very well done TFS. good notes too.

I missed this one somehow.
As usual the exposure and details are splendid and the POV is perfect for this fungus.
Do you think that lowering the blue factor a touch might take the edge off that slight cyan haze ?
Its an excellent shot in any case.

No se quien de los 2 este ahora aqui, pero me da gusto regresar despues de 1 año a TN, y saber que estan ahi en linea.
