[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
La couleuvre tesselée (natrix tesselata). Petite couleuvre inoffensive vivant près des points d'eau.(ne dépasse pas le mêtre) Sa nourriture est quasi exclusivement faite de poissons et batraciens. Elle est malheureusement souvent confondue avec la vipère car elle a un "V" sur la tête et donc souvent détruite. Ses moyens de défense sont d'abord de faire le mort, mais aussi de dégager une odeur nauséabonde lorsqu'on la saisit.

Beautiful shot of the head of this snake. The close wood/rock? is very distracting and this would be improved by cropping this out. I have done a WS. I hope you like it.

Bonita captura Rudy.
Gran perspectiva con un excelente DOF y agudeza sobre el reptil.
Los colores son agradables y el encuadre atinado.
Interesante alternativa la que plantea PDP en su workshop, donde despeja la imagen.

Une grande perspective avec un DOF excellent et une acuité sur le reptile.
Les couleurs sont agréables et le encadrez judicieux.
Alternative intéressante celle qui pose PDP dans son workshop, où elle dégage l'image.

Before I saw a book on reptiles over the week-end I would of said this was a grass snake but I now know there is several related spieces.
nice picture the main problem somebody has sorted already very well, thank you for sharing.

Rudy, I have to agree with Paul and Jaap. But the focus on the head is sharp. Sometimes if the pixels allow it one should consider cropping just the head and "neck" area.
