|Melanargia sp .. Mediterranean ambiences. It has an importance of approximately 5 centimeters. The wings are white with very pronounced black spots that draw on the wing a checkered pattern. The species has led to a series of cromátidas varieties and geographical races. The butterflies appear in June or July. The female puts the eggs on the vegetation that will be the food of the larvas.|

Sorry I cannot help you with the identification of this butterfly, but I can tell you that it is very beautiful one. The markings and colours on its wings are lovely, and displays beautifully in the bright sunlight. I like the full framed composition and close point of view very much. Thanks for sharing.
