Grifo, Eurasian griffon,

(Gyps fulvus)

Another picture taken from the Hide Monfrague.
In the early morning they start to land for breakfast.
In the beginning before sunrise was possible to see the vigilant on a tree. A sign that they are not far. Time to see them fly far away over me by dozens. Few minutes later they come back to start a really storm for food. A confusion of feathers and dust. Violence is aloud and inevitable.Lucky me that they start very early with a fantastic light.

Have a great day and thanks for looking.

What a fabulous shot of this Griffon in flight, Jose!
I presume it's the landing situation.
The warm colour tone of the image has a special appeal here.

Hello Jose,
What a neat action shot of this vulture as it prepares to land with outstretched talons and an intense look on its face. Beautiful warm color tones and excellent detail. The composition is awesome!

Shalom Jose,

Outstanding capture of this great bird.

I see them often form our balcony here n Haifa, on the edge of the Carmel National Park, flying over, sometimes more than a dozen at a time. Some of them were re-intrduced from Spain!

All the best,

Ishi

Hello Jose,
Amazing shoot....Excellent details and focus. Very nice image with superb clarity.
Marius.

I think, José, that is the most successful of all this last series dedicated to buites. The secret, your talent to portray the torrid gaze of this immense carrion bird. All the determination in this soon landing. The complete bird transmits its immediate will to take a corpse, is a conqueror bursting with his demolishing domain, with his right gained by mere will.
Huge work. My regards, my friend.
