Mycena adscendens.

There is a WORKSHOP including our Canon 52 mm. lens for size comparison.

This is a very difficult subject. We made a lot of photos and is very difficult to take in its own enviroment, as it always grows in extremely moody places, and seems to reflect very well the light, so exposure is a pain. Either only the fungus is seen on the shot, or it is OE.
It also has a tiny grainy texture, which makes that all the shots seems out of focus, or with lack of detail.
In this case we had luck and a ray of sun helped in the task of getting details from such a small fungus.
If you try to pick them, they turn into jelly :)

I know the ident of this one thanks to the master comment Marco [Sacordon] made in THIS other one I already posted, with a size comparison adding a 5 cent. Euro coin.

Hope you like!

Hi Felipe,
Beautiful composition and colours, good exposure and sharpness.

Hi! this is a real mastershot. Excellent lightning, gorgeous details and colours. And how surprising it is to compare with your workshop that shows its real tiny size. The bright reflection on its "stem" adds a real plus as it renders its jelly-like nature. Beautiful soft shadow on bark too. Thanks for showing, Patrick

Hi Felipe

Wow... this is a fantastic shot. Good depth of colour. Excellent clarity and tack sharp. Well done. TFS.

Superb shot Felipe! The exposure is great with nice soft highlights in the photo. Composition couldn't have been better and the detail on the tree and the hood of the mushroom is great. Masterfull image, TFS!

Nicely captured Felipe!

This is lovely with wonderful details, color, POV and lighting.

The comparison shot is a bonus, who would have thought that this was so tiny, otherwise.

Thank you.

Felipe and Cristina you have shown us such an amazing view of the real size of these fungi. Using the lens was a great idea. Wonderful view!
And your little Mycena adscendens is such a tiny beauty and you show it off perfectly. Perfectly shown, even down to the cobweb. Thank you both of you very much. I'd like to save the WS as a favoutite!

Tricky, but a very nice result, capturing the delicacy and translucency of the fungus. Interesting to see the earlier stages of the fruiting body erupting on the trunk also.
Thanks, Nigel.

Another excellent exposure Felipe. I know and appreciate your frustration with the exposure, but I think you have done a superb job. In this case the background is great, as the observers focus is now on the fungi itself. I think you've done a great job, though I'm not keen on the shaddow from the light/flash, I think you could have done a little better there (hope that's not too critical). This is a delicate fungi and well captured.
In case you haven't seen it, I posted a collage from antarctic beech forest with a fungi in it. Not a great shot by itself, but it may interest you.

This is a fantastic shot of this small fungi, I'm so impressed with all the work it must take to get such a clear fine shot. I love the frame you've used, it compliments the photo well. Just the right amount of dark and light, well done.

Merry Christmas to you and to those whom you cherish, Felipe, and thanks for sharing your beautifull pictures. I really believe that it is worth to make it to be in contact with our increasingly small world.
I am at Granby with my father. We have a great time together preparing the banquet to come for Christmas.
Take care my young friend.
Luc

Hi felipe, what an incredible shot. It almost makes the mushroom seem huge. The shadow on the trunk is my favorite part. Thanks

Tom

Very nice lighting, I really like the shadow! The translucent stem is Awesome!
