This is a very curious mushroom, Felipe. You've used light and proximity to capture the interesting textures very well.

Another very nice and well composed shot.
Excellent exposure, good sharp detail and textures.
I recently got a book on mushrooms and toadstools and as you say these amanitas can be difficult to ID.
It looks similar to Amanita citrina but these are more yellow in colour when young.
I've a long way to go in learning I think :-)

Thousands appologies for the short comment; I'm very crowded with my work these days, but I allways find a couple a minutes to enjoy and reward a good photo.
PS. I'll try my luck with identification later

Hello Felipe, lovely looking fungi. I like the patterns and the POV and composition are good too. I think it is not quite as sharp as I am used to seeing your shots - F32 is pretty hefty! Very well done on the exposure.

Wow Felip, looks like a hamburger bun with cheese on top. It is an intriguing mushroom, very well portrayed, as usual, by you. Well shown, thank you,

Felicitaciones y Saludos.

Hola Felipe y Cristina,
When I saw this photo at 1st I thought it's Amanita rubescens, but a little bit strange version. Then read the note - I never heard before about Amanita novinupta. Even Bruno Cetto's 4-book "fungi-encyclopedia" doesn't mention it (uhm... I only have 3 of that 4 books, so maybe...). So, I'm afraid I can't help You, although I at least tried...
As a photo, it's beautiful. Nice colour contrast between the fungi and the ground. Again an outstanding shot from You. Congrats and TFS, László
