A close up of Lacerta Schreiberi. These lizards can easily be found along roads on stone walls. But it takes a lot of patience to approach them. Also this one looks very carefully what gives him the best chance for survival: make a short sprint to his hide or rely on his camouflage :o) and sit motionless.

Hi Jacob

What a lovely portrait of this superbly coloured lizard!
Excellent POV, very nice sharp details, very good DOF and of course great colors.
What a big resemblence to a L. viridis male...
Anyway, well framed and composed.

Bravo and TFS

Hola Otra Vez, Disfuto con los lizards, realmente son unos bichos encantadores y de tantos colores... como el tuyo que es muy original, saludos

Beautiful specimen, I never seen anything like this before! Excellent catch, your patience was well rewarded! Would have like to see more of his body and less of emptied space over his head. Great shot.

Hi Jacob,
Lovely portrait of the Lizard.
I know a related specie from Israel (L. trilineata) but it does not have such a magnificent blue head.
I find that the contrast between the relatively dark lizard and the light background takes the attention away from the lizard so I tried a workshop, hope you do not mind

Those colors are just incredible, Jacob.
Great POV of this lizard with just one paw posed tentatively on the rock, ready to flee. Excellent eye contact.

What a fantastic lizard, nice and sharp showing details, can you let us see all of him next time?
TFS, Ulla

Amazong reptile shot. Extremely sharp. Impressive colours on this creature.

Hi Jacob,
wonderful close up with perfect details and naturalistic colours. These shy lizards are not easy to approach that close. Thank you!
Best regards,

Beautiful macro that shows the color and patterns of this reptile very well.

great pic, I'm green or perhaps I'm blue. TFS Ori

Hi Jacob,
Interesting colors of this lizard. Very unsual colors for a lizard, even it was only camuflaged colors. Well captured. Great shot.
