First of all, hearty welcome to TN. I wish I could say it in Spanish!
Secondly, you have posted an impressive shot of a butterfly as your first post. It is just beautiful. Perched on a red dahlia, it looks absolutely fantastic.
Superb point of view, sharpness and details.
Keep taking such lovely pictures and sharing them here on TN.
I wish more poeple had seen and reacted to your first post.
Nice showing of this butterfly on solid red flower. POV, dof, exposure, colors are great. Welcome to TN and looking forward to more of your pictures here.
You have captured here a very beautiful butterfly. ID is Argynnis paphia forme valescina(existing only in the female of Argynnis paphia). The English name is Silver-washed Fritillary.
a beautiful first picture.
On your picture you show a female of Argynnis paphia (with similarities to pandora) from a nice but difficult point of view. The wings are not completely opened and so you can't expect that all parts of the wing surface are equally sharp. In this respect you achieved pretty good sharpness. The focus plane appears to be just a little below the body and could be a little bit shifted into your direction so that the basal areas of the wings would become clearer.
Sometimes it's better to choose another angle (if possible), i.e. at right angle to the left or right wing surface.
The composition and the natural colours are nice. The sun-light is well managed.
I tried a workshop and I hope that you like the result.
Best wishes, Peter

Saludos cordiales... Ricardo

Beautiful species with an interesting pov! Sharp and detailed! That red flower is very nice bonus to your shot and the bg is crowded but interesting that it is not disturbing. Great first post!

Excellent first posting! I don't recognise it as anything I've seen so I'm pleased you've posted it! What a brilliant start on TN! I love the sharp details and the green colour on the hindwings and the Pandora is very nicely posing on the red Dahlia!

This is a fine almost sharp capture of the Pandora Fritillary (Peter is not always right, it seems). But the continuous black wavy line near the border of the hindwing differs it from the Valesina form of the female A. paphia. Nice contrast with the dahlia.

Nice soft focus, on a delicate creature painted with wonderful colors. Keep up the good work and do not forget to post details like type of camera, exposure or speed. (dont look at me, I am too lazy to do it and thats too bad) but that can teach you a lot in terms of improving skills.
THE CRITIQUE SCALE

Yo diría q la foto si que es buena, sobre todo en el enfoque del lepidóptero que es lo que interesa. Yo no entiendo mucho de mariposas pero cada vez me atrae más fotografiarlas.

your first photo is a very nice one to have debuted with and now that you have slowed down on your uploads,it gives me time to review your early posts. This is a very good compositon and the red of the flower provides a very nice contrast to the colour of this butterfly.Your colour and focus are good as well. Thanks for this one.Even though you think of your photo as not very good. a great angle to expose the pandora. Very clear and well composed in its natural habitat.
