Xylaria hypoxylon

I post this one for Greg [red45], as he has posted the same one today, and Cris just thought this looked like hands holding some transparent pearls, I don´t know the book you mention my friend, but I suppose it has someting to do with Cris thoughts.

About the id. I think you are mistaken, as the spore texture is very unique and this is a very common fungus here. Have a look at the Xylarias in the net, and I think you will be convinced with the new id ;-)

I have already posted info about this one in this older stage where it has lost most of the white spores HERE.

Hope you like!

I must confess I looked at this picture and thought..haven't I just commented on one very similar to this - and then I read your note. Again beautiful details and a great POV

Hola Felipe Mateo and Cristina,
a very bizarre fungus looking like hands emerging from the ground - exactly with 5 fingers each. The charme of the scenery is increased by the water drops sparkling brilliantly. An extraordinary presentation.
Best wishes, peter

Thanks Felipe!

You're probably right about ID, you're fungi master so I trust you MF :-) Excellent picture, Cristina was right - it looks exactly like two raising hands with crystals. Hands of zombie emerging from grave to be more specific :-) As always very good details, DOF and composition. Greta work. I'll try to send next fungus for you tomorrow!

Hola Cristina|Felipe,

Nicely composed. Great detail, good color

Curiosa planta. Bellos colores y estupendos los detalles. Una nitidez fabulosa.
Saludos
JL.

Hey Felipe and Cristina - looks like a skeleton's pair of hands wearing ring's on the fingers! But reading your notes, yes Cris is right - holding pearls between the fingers. Spooky, they are like hands coming out of the earth.
Excellent shot, thanks you two - you made my day!

Hi Filipe

A very beautiful and fitting dedication...and what a magnificent picture!
The fungi here is fantastic - just like Greg pointed out, they are both made of 5 fingers...and i would say that you can even see the nails on some. WOW!
Also the technical part is exceptional: the exposure is perfect, the sahrpness impecalbe and the diagonal composition wonderful.

Bravo and TFS

My friend, i think they look klike to skeleton hands rising from the muddy ground.
Interesting POV.
Good but unusual composition.

Ricardo

Amazing to note that both hands have 5 fingers. The un-dead's come from undergrounds...
Brillant shot.

Hello Felipe,
Wonderful macro.Well seen and composed.POV,details and framing are excellent.
TFS..:-)

Saludos,
JM

Its like the hands of Jack frost Felipe. Yes, great capture of this unusual fungi, love your placement in frame and perfectly exposed. Very nice work..

It is competition Felipe / Greg ;-) The both are beautiful and the both have droplet... Good exposure of the white.
Bravo to the Master of fungi and TFS.

Very well done Felipe.
I like the angled composition and overall quality I see. Very artistic & the impression of hands holding pearls of great price works for me :)

Hola Felipe y Cristina.

Fantastica.

Saudos.

Hello Felipe,
Your selection of fungi is most impressive and I don't know how I missed this one! Really brilliant shot. (A bit like two spooky hands!)
Excellent focus and diagonal composition. The colours are lovely too!
