[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
A wonderful group of birds are from the Psittaciformes order. Among them, Psittacus erithacus erithacus are well known for their intelligence.
I think this is somehow reflected in their penetrating and smart look.

you wonder what they think...when they look this way...
your emphasis on the eye had made this shot very compelling...and

African Grey Parrot
Psittacus erithacus

i did what you wanted me to...:)

god bless

Oh I really like this photo ! It is a little soft in focus, but the composition and the way you've managed to isolate the area of the head around the eye is superb !

These are intelligent birds, one of the most intelligent creatures after humans (and listing humans first in the intelligence lineup is questionable, to my way of thinking) Every animal is intelligent in its own way, and we are finally beginning to learn that it can't be rated using human criteria.

Anyway, this is a very thought provoking imaging, well done !

TFS, Mish

Yes Martha, I saw these birds opening some complicated boxes in 'Animal Planet'. Good cature. It's pity that it's beak is not fully visible.
