[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is the moment when a young lesser black-backed gull has already emerged from the water and starting to rise up, just a fraction of a second before its rival is still submersed with an empty beak. The picture just before this shows the loser entering the water forced by inertia when the winner was already out carrying the fish.
The gulls were so near that the 70-210 was enough to capture the scene.
It was taken the same day and the same place as the previous picture showing an adult of the same species.
Málaga province, where I was born.

great action capture, good focus

That is certainly a great action shot. You managed to capture a lot in one shot. It is amazing that it is all so sharp when the birds were moving in different directions and the water in yet another way. You must have used a very fast shutter speed.
Nice work.

Thanks for sharing

Great action! Sharpness and light superb. Wonderful colour. You have frozen the water movement very well indeed. Great compositon

Muy buenas Carlos
Un instante precioso al igual que los reflejos del agua, las gotas le aportan fuerza a la toma y el ganador se lleva el trofeo en el pico. Así es la vida.
Un abrazote.
