Very good capture!
I like so much the vivid and intense yellow of the amphibian's skin.
It's very good the pose catched also.
The workshop picture posted let us make a good idea of how it looks like.
Congratulations and thanks for share.

As you had poor lighting that affected the sharpness and DOF, it was a good idea to post another shot of the Fire Salamander in the WS.
So now we can have a more comprehensive view of it! Both shots are well presented and composed.
TFS and best wishes, Ivan

Another lovely herpeto shot from you, my friend! ;)
This is really beautiful and very interesing...nice to see another species that the "normal" S.s.salamandra - stripes not spots :)
The colors and the contrast here are really terrific and the exposure is also very good (considerring the poor lighting that one usually has in their habitat).
The details are also very sharp and clear and the pose is superb.
I'm only guessing that the poor light had you "fized" on a shallow DOF, because i think you already know that a bit bigger one would have helped :)
Anyway, both shot are very nice, so Bravo and TFS

This picture is really nice! Salamandra is rather rare species in Poland and not easy to find. But of course there is only the nominative subspecies in C Europe. Your specimen looks fantastic - great colours and very good DOF.
TFS this unusual subspecies :)

The perspective from the top does not show the eyes of the creature, Jacob.
Other than that, it is a very sharp and clear image of this brilliantly coloured Salamander.

Good capture of this colorful salamander, Jacob.
Sharp details and good exposure that show off the leathery texture. The POV allows us to see the shape of the animal, and the designs on its skin.
TFS. : )

you made it possible: finally I get to see a good picture of the Spanish Salamandra race. The DOF is excellent (except maybefor the head) , the background and the legs being out of focus helps to render the plasticity well.
By the way, I wonder whether it may not be a species apart (I am not a specialist). I saw a TV movie where they collected this Salamander by the dozens in the city center of Oviedo/Asturia. There is no open water there so it might have a different type of reproduction than S.s. terrestris. Maybe our Spanish TN friends will help.

Great illustration of this interesting subspecies Salamandra salamandra terrestris. I hope to see one like that once by myself :-)
Nice composition and good dim light - just like in the alpine forest :-)
