|This D. Sambucina I found on Gotland as well. The adam and eve orchid is quite common there on gotland and oland. IT is equally spread between a yellow and red variety, hence the swedish name adam and eve, one color adam, the other eve|

Nice portait of what we call the Adam form of O. sambucina. The details of the flowers are well seen against a nice clean BG.

Please excuse my asking: as many of your pix have this nice green background, I wonder whether it Is natural. Some botanists use different cloth backgrounds to show better the details of the flowers.
BTW why do post such a small-size file?
