Hallo Ivan
I like this posting. It looks like this Warbler is crying for help. I am sure it is not the case, but that is how I see it. Or maybe it is singing a hymn for your baby granddaughter. Congratulations on the christening. It is always a special occasion to attend. I also enjoyed your informative note. Interesting reading material.
Thanks for sharing.

Hello Ivan,
I recognize the situation. Considering all you would have done different, you have taken a pretty nice picture. These warblers can be impressive imitators but always reveal themselves by distinctive sounds. Nice blink in the eye. I think I would personally darken the sky a slight bit in the exposure. I makes the bird stand out somewhat more.

Beautiful bird image Ivan.
Excellent composition and wonderful details with the bird singing a song I can even hear :) and the catchlight in the eye.
Your camera ofcourse does'nt have any problem with ISO 400 and with this shutter speed an image is sharp anyway :)
Made qiute a lot of shots of the sedge warbler in Norway myself and each time these little birds were stay put even at distances of less than 6 meters.
Thanks for sharing.
Best regards, Harry

Hi Ivan,
Fabulous shot of the singing Sedge Warbler. A perfect 'World Music Day' shot. Very neat and sharp details and fine focus. The natural lighting, the diagonal branch with the green leaves and the clear blue sky as the BG makes the frame look magnificent. I like your POV to portray it. Very nicely composed. Kudos.
TFS.

Hi Ivan,
excellent composition and framing on this shot. It still turned out very well with the less than perfect settings. Great pose with him singing in full voice. Looks very good!

Hi Ivan,
Welcome home and Congratulations.
Another bird I've never seen. I just love birds with open beaks! Nice colors and excellent details. I love the composition with him on the curved branch and the leaves framing the picture.

I was wondering where Ulla and you had gone in the past one week, Ivan.
Now I know.
Congratulations on being blessed with a grand-daughter!
Is this new arrival in the family your first grand child, BTW? I have two -- a boy and a girl. And I know what a fantastic feeling it is to turn grand parents.
Despite the haste you speak of in taking the picture of this cute Warbler, you have managed a lovely shot. I like its singing posture and that glint in its eye.
Well done and thanks for sharing it.

Hi Ivan.
Glad to see you.
DOF is really great and exposure time is really funny a bit as well as your note -: ))). You are right. Bird will not wait for you. It is true.
However, pictured scene is great. Nice captured moment, composition of the shot and colours. All image is in focus and sharp. So, well done and TFS.
Alexei.

hi Ivan,
très bonne image de cet oiseau qui chante, la composition est superbement maîtrisée, ouvrant la place à l'imagination, du son, et de son regard vers la gauche.

This is a dramatic shot of song bird with beak wide open! Excellent focus and detail. I guess the extremely fast shutter speed was good to you. The exposure did not suffer. The light is very soft and even and you got that great glint of light in eye. Nice composition also.
