Trivia
In swedish these birds are called "sångsvan". directly translated that would be "singing swan". I think the english name is more correct :-)

Habitat
Wetland habitats, mainly shallow lakes and coastal flats. Also feed in farmland on grain stubble and root crops. During summer They live in Iceland and northern europe. Therefore it is common to see lots of these birds flying north during spring. They follow the warming weather north and sometimes they stop to wait for spring to catch up with them. On these occations it is possible to see fields full of swans, several hundreds of them, eating and waiting.

In courtship, a pair will face each other, wings quivering in a half-open and lifted position. The neck of each bird is repeatedly bent and then extended. Each performance is accompanied by loud bursts of trumpeting.

A very nice capture Urban.
Pleasent composition with good feather detail and just a nice bit of blur in the wing tips.

This is an unusual swan picture! It shows the structure of the wings very well, and, of course, the long neck. Look a bit like the Concorde taking off.

I've never seen swan from that POV.

A very well exposed in-flight under belly exposure on this trupeter, I can even make out the black yellow on his bill. Nice compo and pov, TFS
