Gorgeous! He looks so cuddly! LOL.
Nice colour, great composition and good lighting. I would crop a little bit off the bottom to lessen the intrusion of the OOF foreground, otherwise perfect! I like this image a lot.

PS - the pose of the bear in your WS is a dag. Looks like all he needs is a can of beer in one paw and his day will be complete! :-))

Hello Paul,
For just this capture of a bear your trip to Edsbyn has been well worthwhile.
The image is sharp and well composed to show a fantastic expression on the bear's face as he is rubbi´ng his back on the tree trunk. A great capture in a natural environment.
TFS this delight,
Ivan
BTW, I like your website!

Hi Paul,
Wow! That must have been an impressive moment to witness! What an excellent capture! I like everything about this picture. Soft colors, POV, exposure, details, action caught and this blurred foreground give this capture super style! Thanks,
Claudine

Hi Paul,
It is so great to see that it is rubbing its back, it is almost human, and in spite of your poor circumstances in the shelter, the POV is super.
Very well done
TFS and greetings

Hi Paul.
Bravo. Amazing scene, pose of the fine animal and picture at whole. It is great work of superb lens and skill photographer. In spite of bad light conditions you managed to produce perfectly exposed shot with plenty attractive details, wonderful bokeh, delicate colours. In addition shot is composed and framed excellently. My congratulations. Well done.
Alexei.

Groet,
Peter

Hallo Paul,
wederom een mooie foto van deze beer.
Zo'n foto van een staande beer zie je niet zoveel.
Prima dof en pov ook.

Hi Paul,
your great photo safari continues. This is a once-in-a-lifetime picture of a Bear! Interesting to see the big bear stand up on its hind leg. Bears are as far as I remember the only plantigrades together with man so they should stand on their feet from time to time :-) Very good text to go along, thank you for both, picture and text.
Best regards
Dietrich

Hi Paul,
A very interesting presentation...infact reading your notes i am reminded of similar activity of marking the area by cheetas..i saw the program recently on Animal Planet where two baby cheeta's were reared and released in wild .....This is an excelllent pose you have captured and provides a very good study on bear behaviour.
Very well done.
TFS & Cheers
