A superb capture Paul
At times we need a bit of luck to enable us to take a good shot such as this in-flight of a Crested Tit.
The head and body are pretty sharp and I like the sweeping position of the wings taken with fine timing and good use of flash.
Thanks and have a good weekend,
Ivan

Hi Paul.
It is really rare and wonderful in-flight shot despite the fact you have not planned to get it. Impressive magnification, superb flash work and terrific timing. Bravo.
Alexei.

Hello Paul
This is a very impressive capture indeed of a Crested Tit In flight.
Although you say Luck was involved you still had to have your camera trained at the subject when it left its perch and took flight, perhaps it would be better to call it unplanned planning!
Another very important point that you have shown in this capture is that with the use of flash you can capture small species inflight with an incredibly low shutter speed and still record fabulous details.
I hope you get the bug for inflights now and we can look forward to more like this.
Tfs This One
All the Best

Hi Paul,
What a lucky guy you are, a crested tit inflight captured. They are so quick that is very hard to follow them with your eye.
Congratulations.

Irrespective of luck this is still a good shot with partial focus on the bird, one of which I have yet to see. Nice colours. Well done, regards, Bill

hello Paul
excellent capture of the Crested Tit in-flight,
as you wrote sometimes you are lucky
and also i can add sometimes you have to be
at the good place the good time,
you did an excellent photo here, fine focus on the bird
you obtained excellent sharpness and details
of the plumage, and the light blur on the bird
it shows the bird's flight's motion, TFS
