You have done a great job of capturing this Hawk Moth while it hovers in the air, Ivan. It is a difficult job and I have tried my hand at it only once or twice with limited success. At 1/2000, you have got the curled up proboscis and the antennae in perfect focus. Thanks for sharing this marvellous capture.

Bonsoir Ivan,
Very fast shutterspeed for this beautiful Hawk-moth! Photographers have to be very fast too! The greenish background is just ideal to show the insect. It seems to like Echium species.
What concerns my" Arbre à perruques" it can be found from south of Europe east until China. I assumed that the English name "Eurasian" smoketree was describing well the distribution.
