WOW!! A photo of Turdus pilaris from a distance of 2 m. Very impressive Ulla! I will be happy if one day I approach this bird at 15 m. Excellent photo! Very good composition, wonderful colours and good sharpness!

Now this is really a special image, not just because of the beautiful Fieldfare, but also because of the most pleasant setting. It almost looks as if you told the bird to sit still and it waited patiently for you to take some photographs. And as Lou started by saying: "Great details and beautiful colours" and Peter said just before me "Very beautiful environment. What a beauty!" You perform wonders with your compact camera, Ulla. This picture of a lovely Fieldfare captured on a snow laden juniper bush displays the features and colours of the bird from the best possible perspective. Everything within the frame looks very natural.
With lowest temprature around 3 to 4 degrees here in Jammu, we feel frozen! Easy to imagine how cold it must be in your part of the world at -24C.
