[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note [French]
The gorilla, the largest of the living primates, is a ground-dwelling omnivore that inhabits the forests of Africa. Gorillas are divided into two species and (still under debate as of 2007) either four or five subspecies. Its DNA is 97%–98% identical to that of a human,[3][4] and is the next closest living relative to humans after the two chimpanzee species.

Bonjour Robi,

Hi Robi

A splendid and very moody portrait of this nice gorilla.
I really like the B&W conversion here - it definitely adds to the atmosphere of the shot - and also the use of an extremely shallow DOF.
Great sharp details and very good exposure as well!

Bravo and TFS

Hi Robi

I love the fact you have converted this to B&W as it allows us to concentrate on the gorilla's character. Wonderful light and composition. Wonderfully sharp. That expression seems so sad
