THE MISCHABEL GROUP

Group of the Pennine Alps forming the divide between Saastal and Mattertal (Zermatt region). The highest summit of this mountain group is the Dom (4545m) which is also the highest peak in Switzerland.
Other well-known mountains of the Mischabel are the Nadelhorn (4328m) and the Lenzspitze (4234m)

This view has been taken from the Moosalp, where it is possible to have a round-view on Bernese and Valaisans Alps. We have been there with our small TN-group from Bern-Fribourg (Dieter Meyer and Markus Peissard)and it was just great and very funny.

Hello Anne,
What a pity the three of you are not in the picture as well!! You seem to have visited a very beautiful place together! I love staying home in the summer but at the same time I'd love to go the the Alps again - summer is too short! This is a lovely view from an Alpine meadow towards this impressive snow-clad mountain in the background. I like your composition very much.
Many thanks and cheers, Ulla

Hallo Anne!

Markus

THIS is how I pictured it in my mind. And perhaps that is why I am always speaking this way to Ivan and others who live nearby...also I have an original 18th century oil painting by a "semi-master" of this particular area. I tis one I grew up with hanging on my great grandmothers wall. I can see all of the similarities here..and what might be a common sighting for you is a delight for me. Very nice!

Dieter

Salut Anne,
A fine landscape image depicting an attractive alpine meadow with conifers and a mountain BG in a pleasing composition.
I can imagine the floral and insect life in the meadow, and it reminds me of a week's walking tour I had round the French, Swiss and Italian borders years ago. I can also image that you Dieter and Markus had a lot to do!
TFS this fine image,
Bon soirée,
Ivan

Hi Anne,
You make me sad by showing this lovely picture of mountains.
Because I too am a person from the mountains living in a hot city in the northern plains of India and missing my home all the time.
I had a 3 weeks vacation but could not go because of early monsoon rains.
I thought they would spoil my trip, and lo and behold, they have now dried up and my vacation is almost over!
What a lovely image of the mountains you have shown us today!
The dark green trees in the foreground contrast so beautifully with the white mountains on the horizon.
Thanks for making my day and with warm regards,
Ram

Liebe Anne,

Merci , amicalement
Laurent

Amazing scenery! One wants to be there, the Alps look so cooling... Thanks for sharing.
