The last three days have been so beautiful in the Alps, that I couln't resist to go for walks in the higher regions. This lonely tree is on the Moosalp, which is situated on 2050m, and belongs to the village of Toerbel. From some places on this Alp, we can see a vaste panorama of mountains, having a great view on the Valaisans and Bernese Alps. On the Moosalp, we can find a lot of little lakes and a very special flora, fauna and a lot of interesting insects. For example huge dragonflies flying around in these days.

Hola Anne.- Una bella postal, Me gustaria mucho caminar por estos valles y montañas con mi camara.
Saludos Luis52.

Hi Anne!
I notice this looks like the end of the treeline in the Alps at the height of 2000 odd meters. The scale, however, is different, in the Himalayas. We have lot of vegetation at this altitude and even higher. For example, you will find a place named Tengpoche in the Everest region in Nepal at nearly 13000 feet surrounded by a dense forest of rhododendron, birch and other trees.
I like the rugged terrain in this picture and the patches of greenary at the bottom.
Thanks for sharing this image.

soft and quiet..and very well presented ...the tree..a favourite of mine especially as you have it shown..
like that countryside..

Hello Anne,
I think that among all your alpine landscapes, I like this the most. It's very well composed with that single tree on the right and almost naked mountains in the back. Simplicity - it's a great choice always.
Best greetings,

Another one of you great alpine landscape shots! I really like them because the nature in your area is so different from what Im used to! The trees dont grow much higher than 5-900 meters in Norway because of the cold climate.
You have composed this picture very nice!
I have done a little workshop again, just to see if I could help you with what seems to be a little blue cast - but my photo limit is up for today - so Ill post it tomorrow!

Hello Anne,
Beautiful rustic mountain landscape, I never imagined the alps in that way.
Good exposure and colours

Bien rude, le pays de nos amis haut-valaisans.
Bonne journée.
