I would say that one magnificent way to start the year :)
I wish i had such a beginning of my photographic (and maybe even spiritual) year.

This is a very moody shot, with gentle lights and soft shadows, with lines and curves that describe a hidden part of nature. I like seeing these kinds of abstracts, but in this case, i would love to see a wider, view too, reading your description of the spot. I think such a place - with a mountain lake like that - makes an outstanding photographing place all year long :)

Dream of white and blue, of light and shadows - impressive show. When I saw a preview it seemed to me that I see a big fish of a dolphin in the sea, but then I saw your name and understood that I see a snow.

You made an extraordinary composition, and seems almost drawn - but then you see the pattern of the snow in the center...
Anyway it needs a minute for me trying to determine sizes.
I think the lights are more important here than the snow itself, witch I like very much. Thank you for sharing!

Hi Markus, when I saw that picture, I thought "Oh, this is what he means". Yes, this is a great picture, absolutely superb. I love the softness in it, the very subtle changes of bright light to shadow... so smooth and soft. Keep on exploring it, you're a master of the snow! I'm almost shy to have tried to imitate you but I know I will try again! You're an inspiration!
