After reading your noted I thought that ski walk may be interesting (it seems to me I used ski about ten years ago). Today we had snowfal in the morning, but after noon the sun was shinning and the temperature rised again. The morning snow became dark and melting, so we couln't see so wonderful snow pictires like your.
I like your wonderful photo, fantastic snow forms and amazing lights and shadows.

A great image got working only with whites.
I like the composition made with the turns of the river underlying.
The subtle shadows and hues produced on the snow makes of this a very delicate image.

For one reason or another...I tend to wait on your images...till others post, then see perhaps what they say. I know how to do this...but I cannot...my eyes are sometimes blinded by other things...such as cannot see the forest for the trees.. I do notice this. You see patterns as smoother than I. In my eye/mind I tend to see more complex and sometimes noisy patterns....and I wonder at that...does all this have any real meaning. and if so how important? Perhaps more than we know or perhaps something our ancestors lost and forgot to pass on...or maybe....I think too much:-)

Hi Markus,
Looks like you got yourself a new toy. And, what a toy it is. But the camera is just a tool and the owner still needs to work it. And you did marvelously. I love how, what is still visable of it, the river takes me across the photo. The exposure is really perfect, just the right amount of light on the brightest areas. The soft shades across the scene gives the photo great depth.

So this is how a snow serpent looks like :) Absolutely wonderful!
The composition you managed here is absolutely great - with the diagonal displacement of the stream, while the exposure - although difficult in such cases - is spot-on!
The shadows are also very beautiful and the big DOF you used is excellent, keeping everything in such great focus.
All-in-all: superb artistic shot!

Hi Markus,
your images of deep snow create a deep longing in me for such an environment! Once again an image that portrays something that is hard to believe is a landscape and not some sort of abstract sculpture.
Exposure is excellent and the framing perfect, well done my friend,but be careful in the mountains...i hear this year is bad for Avalanches in the Alps.

A wonderful shot of this seam in the snow.The exposure is well handled.
The lighting is wonderful with lovely bright sparkling fresh powder.
The contrast is very good.
I really like how the drifting snow produced so many planes and surfaces for the light and shadow.
Nicely composed in the frame.It has a lovely artistic look .
