Hi all!

Today I feel like posting the proof that don't just crawl through our nature on all "four legs", the nose hidden in the grass and not looking at the other beauties of our planet.

:-)

So the result is a classical picture. It shows the Bietschhorn (3934m) in the Kanton of Wallis. It's a wonderful mountain and its view remembers me a lot of souvenirs from my childhood. The picture has been taken from the Moosalp or more exactly from the "Stand" (2119m) during our TN excursion (anel; meyerd) a couple of weeks ago. There you have a great panoramic view.

Kind regards

Markus

Hello Markus,
When I was a little child my parents went on a holiday to Switzerland and they brought me back a box of Swiss chocolates with a picture similar to this on the lid - I really treasured this beautiful box more than the chocolates! I still love to see these high mountains - the Swedish mountains are just flat and boring in comparison!! This is a lovely capture, well composed and technically brilliant.
Many thanks and cheers, Ulla

hello markus,
this one is fine peice of landscape. i have never seen mountains like this but hope to visit our own Himachal Pradesh someday where i can shoot The Himalayas.
nicely done,

Bonsoir Markus
Encore une belle prise de vue sur les hauteurs.
Ces arbres semblent, comme nous, contempler les massifs glacés.
Très beau spectacle. Merci
Amicalement

Hi Markus

I must admit, every time I see an Alpine scene like this, I expect Julie Andrews to appear and start singing!! Lovely shot - I like the way that that the wind bent tree compliments the angle of the mountain.

Hi Markus,
it definitely a great view from this high vantage point, the backdrop is awesome. The lush green contrasts very well agains the haze of the distance. For me though, the trees are a little too centrally placed though and don't make the most out of that amazing view.

Guten Tag Markus,
Anne

Hi Markus,
Crisp and clear, love the colors and "classic" panoramic view of these majestic mountains..

Hello Markus,

I have never been to Switzerland but this is the impression of it, that I hold in my mind!
It looks like the front cover for 'The Sound of Music' ... was that in Austria?
Perfect composition: the gentle greens in the f/g, the magnificent, rugged mountains beyond, and the clear blue sky, with fluffy clouds just touching the tops of the mountains, to indicate their height!

(My children have been: my son snowboarding and my daughter ski-ing!)

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Splendido paesaggio montano, eccellente composizione con gli alberi in primo piano, le grandi montagne ancora innevate e il cielo con questi grandi nuvoloni, mi piaciono molto i colori e la luminosità. Grazie e complimenti. Ciao Maurizio

Hi Markus,
Outstanding shot of these snow covered mountains. Great view and the clear blue sky and the patches of clouds enhance the beauty of the image. It indeed is a classical image. Very neat and sharp with nice colours. Excellent DOF, POV and composition. Kudos.

Ha Markus! To look up into the sky and smell the air around and feel the glorious sun touching your skin and see the cloud capped mountains afar across the valley...must be quite an experience...

I admire your shots that are so creative and original in their presentation and each distinct from the others. An this is one more done...

Fantastic PoV and DoF, Markus. The photograph give me a sense of deja vu and your notes too talk of the classical picture that this one is...and i agree with Ulla, this reminds one of the Swiss chocolate tins whose lids used to be adorned with similar shots like this very marvel. And more than that, this brings back memmories of a classic movie..the Sound of Music..the hills echoing with the songs sung by the Von Trapp family...Oh! makes one reminiscent of childhood and beautiful days...

Thank you for a beautiful moment shared and thank you for the beautiful memmories...

Warm regards

Marcus, this looks incredibly beautiful! Thank you very much for sharing this area of wonders. It almost feels as if I could be there! Thanks for sharing! Cheers Josh Lewis.

I assume the peak on the left is the Beitschhorn

the Alps have an interesting color to their rocks and combine that with the heavy glaciation it makes it for a very rugged and spectacular scene.. Colorado's mountains are largely without glaciers, most of Colorado's glaciers have disappeared in the last century, half of which have disappeared in the last 25 years :-(

Markus Peissard, HI. I am more that agree with your note. Everywhere we turn, nature has its role and we just need to look again to appreciate the beauty. This is such a fine perspective. The layers of green pasture, the trees and stunning snow capped peaks are just glorious against the puffy white cloud of the blue sky. Excellent framing with such good depth and clarity. TFS and well done. Best regards. Jusni

Hi Markus!
Fantastic panoramic picture with strong but natural light (great clarity of the sky!) and vivid colours. It looks like "normal" part of mountain area, but I like to watch good pictures of "common beauty" :)
Greetings from Poland,
Radomir

Hi dear Markus ,
Very nice place and you captured great.
So nice scenery. It is fresh and clean.

Kind regards
Saeed

Hallo Markus
I have said it before, but I want to say it again: I think seeing a scene like this in real life must be an awesome experience. The Creator of All is just wonderful to have formed and shaped the beautiful nature all around us to admire and appreciate, and this photo of yours is such proof of His Mighty Creation. This is really a magnificent landscape, with a mix of blue sky, snowy covered mountains and untouched greenery in the foreground. The cloud hovering in the sky just adds to round of this perfect view. Thanks for sharing and enjoy your day. Kind regards
Anna
