Hi all!

The rich palette of different colour tones of Flysch is impressive. It goes from black and grey over turquoise and green to orange and red, inclusive all the different nuances. Sometimes elder flags show the nicer colours, sometimes the freshly broken newer ones are more beautiful. The palette of the orange and red tones always is richer and more saturated on new surfaces. This happens when the erosion - most of the time caused by water - splits the flags and lets appear the underlying layers. In this picture, the layers of clay and sandstone are quite "old" and have probly been at the surface for two or three years. Oxidation, algae and deposits of the water have created the coulours. Water plays an important rule in the Flysch regions and regularly transforms their aspect because the clay and the marl prevent the water from penetretaing into the deeper layers of earth.

The river Ärgera in the Plasselbschlund at many places is surrounded by steep slopes, often covered with trees. The combination of the autumnal leaves and the colours of Flysch create beautiful paintings - at least from my point of view. I haven't touched or arranged anything in this picture, it's just cut out from a larger one.

Taken with an old Pentax 67, scanned, saved as TIFF, cropped and saved as JGP for TN.

Kind regards

Hi Markus
This one is also fantastic. Maybe the best from the serie. Texture and colors are great. Green teeth line, grey surrounding and 2 leafs - one brown and peaceful and second vivid orange. Also great note.I like it very much

Hi Markus

Another absolutely superb abstract shot from you, my friend!
The shapes that you managed to catch here look wonderful and quite resemble a chain of mountain peaks from fairy tales :)
The textures are outstanding and the presence of that contrasting leaf adds to much attention to the scene.
Very good crop and therefore excellent composition, too. I'm sure this will look superbly if printed and framed.

Bravo and TFS

beautiful composition from the strong and decided colors

Lieber Markus,

It sure is a painting, a beautiful painting with very thoughtful impressions when we look at it. It's either the dental pattern of the rocks or the beautiful leaf letting itself float amidst those beautiful rocks. Thank you Markus,

Hi Markus. This just goes to show that nature is the best artist! Very nice image, its like a great piece of abstract art. I really like a lot about this photo, the different layers and shapes all go together very nicely and the small orange leaf sets it off nicely.

Hi Markus,

this one looks fantasic, beautiful saturated colours.
Nicely composed.

Hi Marcus,
What a superb minimalistic shot vith good colours, contrasts and details.TFS.

It is rightly said that the beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, Markus.
You behold these rocks with deep passion and are so knowledeable about them. What is more, your selection of details within the frame is always very judicious. You are driven by a deep aesthetic sensibility when you choose the details. This image in landscape orientation is so beautiful I would love to hang it on the wall of my study.
Apart from the shades of colours on the rocks, the autumnal leaves add a magic touch to the composition.
Thanks and regards,

Hi dear Markus ,

Great shot from autumn.splendid compo and beautiful colours.

Hello Markus,
It is strange how colours mean much more when the dominant BG is grey! The pastel shades of yellows and greens on the surfaces of these flysch pieces are very attractive, but then just to make these colour nuances take second place you have a blazing autumn leaf in the composition! Brilliant!
I guess the yellows on the flysch are due to a sulphur content. Excellent posting both interesting and artistic and I thank you for sharing it.

Hallo Markus,

amazing picture, very original crop and very artistic, greetigns Ori

You are indeed the Master of this genre...I remember back many months ago when others did not know you existed...but in that case i wrote a few private emails to others telling them how important....in a way..your work is and it should NEVER be overlooked. You far out surpass me in this area...maybe you will need to give me a name for this imagery you do...It is yours alone to name..I have seen great works like this decades ago in black and whit, but you added the colours...

There you go again...i do hope you've had a look at Andy Goldworthy's work now, Markus! This is so like some of his work, but still your own individual style. Very well seen, lovely details and perfectly cropped - you are the master of this type of photography.

Hi Markus,
What a beautiful photo. Looks like a painting... Textures, colors, patterns, details and composition are very good. Well done and TFS
Best wishes,

Bonjour Markus,

Bravo!

This is a superb shot, and the note is very enlightening!
Thanks, my dear friend Markus, for sharing this shot!

Hi Markus,
This is an extremely artist image with beautiful colors and patterns. Thank you for sharing this great image Markus.

Hello Markus,
Bon W-E

Hi Markus,
They become even more interesting each time you show is a new photo. In this one the coroded copper like tone is stunning. That one colored leave does make a wonderful eye catcher and give the photo that little extra. I like the format of the photo and the feel that there is much more to see outside the frame. I did however notice a drop in sharpness on the left.

This is another wonderful abstract Markus. The subtle gray-green is beautifully accented with the yellow. The textures and patterns are wonderful and the bright leaf focal point is perfect.

Bonjour Markus,

... et merci de ton accueil ! ;-)

Hi Markus, we have similar geographic like rocks like this around our cliff area between our beaches. But all one colour - grey - no other colours at all.
Your composition with the fallen leaf looks great - very pretty and artistic.

Hello Markus! Amazing leave. Nice composition. Good colours. Superb contrast. Original composition and frame. Well done!

Bonjour Markus

Very nice Markus, I like this.
The textures & cracked rock contrast the color of the solitary leaf well.
The rocks themslves display a rich colortones as you say..
I enjoy the pano comp too.
Would make an excellent jigsaw puzzle! :)

Hi Markus,
I really like your abstract images of nature. Especially the ones where I am not quite sure what I see without reading the note.
This image is wonderful, the strange shapes and texture of the background and the nice leaf standing out.
TFS, Shir
