Another one of your masterful strokes and this artistic impression delights the eyes. A pity the winter has ended and I will miss these. Superb light and exposure handling and I like the details. Great composition.

Ciao Markus,

Bon WE Jacqueline

Hello Marcus,
This one has an eerie feeling to it.
The swirls and textures here give the ice a ghostly appearance.
Very cool!
Cheers

Hi Markus.
Our winter was not fantastic but was unique. We have not snow and even temperature below 0C at all. We had grey sky almost all winter and often tiresome drizzling rain. I could photograph only dry leaves and small stones on the ground but not leaves and stones covered by ice (as you). However, if I would wish to take such beautiful shot I could not do it. Yours is amazing. It is the most refined work. You managed to reflect the beauty of the scene excellently. Ice patter as well as pattern under the ice are amazing. Colour tones, exposure, details are the best too. My congratulations. Bravo.
Alexei.

Dear Markus,
yes indeed, as my previous post...you have iconised yourself with the style..that no one could ever immitate. If somebody does they know it is a copycat of yours.
Well presented in fine work of art.
Well composed in special workmanship.
regards,
Foozi

Lieber Markus,

Gracias,
Francine

Hallo Markus
Once again so beautiful and a scene captured in fine style. You could not have chosen a better title. Looking at this image, not only reminds me of a curtain, but also of a food net, that we sometimes use to cover our food from flies or other insects. It also reminds me of the veil a bride wears before she gets married. The finely woven textures of these last remnands of snow are brought to justice with your fine camera work, and your ability to see the finer things in life than just an animal, insect or bird. Your photographic artwork amazes me time and time again, just like this one has once more. Thanks for sharing.
Best regards
Anna

Hi and Good Morning Markus,
What a splendid image! I liked the texture on the thin ice layer. Your point of view works well in my opinion, here! Superb nature art again MF. Very nicely done!
TFS and have a nice new week!

Interesting note accompanied by a nice picture! I'm amazed at the kind of pattern that you manage to show. Most of the time we pack our equipment in winter and thrive on our archives, but you manage to find and shoot something in winter. "U've Got the EYE" for such things and its a great gift.

Your talent is very consistent...in a magic way you take linear patterns and turn them into non linear magical shots...this one being as different as the past...wonderful image Markus!

Hallo Markus,
Dieter

Hello Markus,
Wonderful!
Your winter show deserves a great applause and this one of a 'curtained' frosty ice formation is a great way to end it.
Once again you have delighted us with some of the endless variety of the natural paterns of Nature. Now we also look forward to the spring and summer and what they have to offer.
Thanks and my best regards,
Ivan

Lieber Markus-
Browsing via an unusual route, I came upon this ice shot of yours which I had missed until now. You are right that it was a rich winter (at least in Switzerland), as shown by your frost, snow, and ice images.
This one is unique to me for a reason no one else has mentioned. There are 4 vertical or nearly vertical edges in the center to right of the image which have the most unusual wavy edges. As an ice aficionado, I look for and find many odd things, but this is one that I don't recall seeing before.
There is also an interesting portion of the right center which looks like it has lines intersecting at 60°, like snowflake geometry- seems like probably due to vapor deposition from below.
Overall a beautiful and delicate image.
Now the challenge for us both will be to find good subjects in the non-frozen world!
Cheers,
Bob
