Lieber Markus,

TFS

You should be a totally rich man by now Markus...if you lived in the states and did these in large format..they would be hung in large skyscrapers lobbies and such all over...It continues to marvel me..you don't even realize the super talent you have for this...it is among the best eye for patterns I have ever seen and I mean it!

Hy Markus
I am not between those how loves the mud. In fact, I avoid it how much it is possible. But yeah, for a good picture, sacrifices are necessary, even walking through the mud and waters and snow. On this picture I will not say that this abstract is not part of the nature. Oho, it is in fact sometimes too much.
But anyway…this mud is like a melted metal, like a mixture of gold with something…Well done!
Oana
Dear Markus-
Lovely picture, including some texture and curves that look surprisingly like an elephant seal!
So why are you concerned if people find you in the quarry? You are crazy, aren't you... ...at least as crazy as any of us on TN and elsewhere, chasing over/through/around some obstacle in pursuit of our latest photo. I don't worry about such things anymore (everyone in my town already knows how crazy I am), but instead look forward to seeing other photographers at the shore when the temperatures are below minus 20. It means there are kindred spirits in the area!
Best regards,
Bob

Bonjour Markus,
Amicalement,
Hervé

Hello Markus,
Yes, I think I should have the same feeling when I was taking pictures in the middle of this mud..Am I crazy??
But the photo is fantastic. Great composition and colours. Great choice, the focus is in the middle of this image.
Regards,
Peter

Hi Markus.
I know you are not crazy. You are a great master who can see what many of us cannot even notice. I am amazed how well you can work with ice, with mud or anything else. Fantastic pattern and brilliant reproduction of this cute picture created by nature. Bravo. Unique work.
Alexei.

Hello Markus !
I think it's the same for all of us nature photographers - people do think we're a bit crazy ! ;-) As for your picture, I tried t guess what it was before reading your note, and I must admit I had no idea. But the result is just gorgeous, I love the texture, it looks almost like silk. The patterns and colors are wonderful, too. Very well done !
Valérie.

This is unbelievable, Markus.
The movement of water over mud has created such phantasmagoria of shapes and forms it leaves one amazed at the workings of Nature.
Still, it is your eye that observed and noticed those shapes and forms and captured them into this composition of immense beauty. What I 'see' in these shapes and forms is entirely my perception; it has nothing to do with a common shared experience. That is what abstract art does to most of us.
That way, this is a work of art and not a picture of mud.
Thanks for sharing yet another creation that transcends the mundane.
Regards.

Hello Markus,
A superb capture of the flowlines of water that has patterned the fleisch mud. Beautifully photographed and composed with your usual artistry, but not so nice to walk in!
Thanks and best regards,

Hi, Markus,
haha, thanks for your interesting note. crazy? far from that. perfect? yes, this is the right word. thanks for sharing your artistic masterpieces with all of us at TN and this is definintely another great example. I like the contrast here - smooth vs. coarse - haha, looks a bit like a religious picture of Heaven and Hell to me. very well done!

Hi Markus,
a very abstract piece of capture. From the dry ice look to the hardened mud gives a nice dreamy and icy feel.
Very sharp details of the sands, that presents something lovely and even look edible.
Very different showcase.

Salut Markus,
Dieter

Hello Markus,
Amazing patterns, textures and lighting!! At first glance I thought you had used a very slow shutter to capture moving water as it ran upon a beach of sand. I now see this is what you actually were seeing, incredible!! Great job!!
