A female kingfisher (Alcedo atthis) having caught a young european perch for its offspring. This is the forth breeding a this couple of kingfisher this summer.

Bonjour Pierre,
Félicitations d'avoir pu faire une photo de ce bel oiseau. Et en plus avec un énorme poisson dans le bec! Un beau cadrage vertical et une belle composition. L'arrière-plan apparaît sur mon écran avec un peu de "bruit", avec neat-image tu pourrais le supprimer.

Maybe this picture has some noise in the bg, but the moment captured here is very good, a small bird with a big fish in the beak. And this wanderful bird, is not a big bird, to be easy to photograph. So, congratuletion for this!

I think there were some branches between you and this beauty. Except the negative effect of those branches this is a great photo. TFS.
