Hi all!

When I'm walking through my river beds - here I'm in a tiny and nameless affluent of the Aergera - I'm often lost in deep thoughts. At the beginning of the hike I usually can't free my mind that still is kept emprisoned by stress and sorrows. Later, when the effort and the nature have freed my mind, softer and much more positive thoughts start to prevail.

At the very moment I saw this little piece of stone (Flysch), I made the association with two prayers, one on his knees, the other one standing. Maybe the terrible debate in Switzerland about allowing or forbidding the construction of minarets has influenced me.

I also believe that this apparently vile stone gives the perfect answer...

Kind regards

Markus

N.B. Taken in RAW as I always do, basic level and temperature corrections and settings in Camera RAW, import to PS, attenuation of the bright tones, little sharpness and saturation.

Good morning Markus!
We are neighbours today.
Lovely composition of pastel shades, a combination that easily lead us to think about our place in nature, time and space. I often do this and try not to lose hope for our children and future generations.
Nature, and this image shows a fine part of it, is a great healer.
Thank you and my best regards,
Ivan

Bonjour Markus
Merci pour cette prise de vue particulière. J'y vois le tronc d'un arbre, dont l'écorce se détache selon les endroits.
Comme un changement de Peau, d'enveloppe..
Bravo pour les belles couleurs
Amicalement
Laurent

Ciao Markus, great artwork by nature, lovely abstract composition with splendid pastel colors, very well done, have a good Sunday, ciao Silvio

Hi and Good Morning Markus,

Utterly outstanding neat shot, almost looks like a bit worn-out bark -as a different imitation by me:)-.
Great use of the shallow DOF, everything looks wonderfully focused as a result.
Good choice with the frame too, my hat goes off to you :)
TFS and have a nice Sunday!
Cheers,

Bayram

Lieber Markus,
Anne

Hi Markus

Another excellent abstract/macro from you, my friend!
You found a very beautiful setting here, with gorgeous colors, a very nice and smooth gradient and edgy textures. The veins in the stone here - especially in the middle section - are just gorgeous and attract my attention. Flysch is definitely your middle name :)
Great work!

Bravo and TFS

Hola Markus,

Josep Ignasi.

Hi Markus
I love your abstract images you capture in rock. Being a rock hound I can appreciate the detail, colour, lines and textures you seem to find. Keep of the great work.
Janice

hello Markus
as I have written before the forms that you create with your lens, they are exceptional, they transmit very well what exists everywhere around us in the nature, her beauty!
TFS thanks for sharing

Hi Markus,
this is so beautiful in term of philosophy, Markus. I like the way you connect the idea with this special flysch.
the natural design is very exciting and lovely.
i like the the imagination from you as it is stated in a book on creativity about being able to visualise something into another dimension.
lovely place to experiece this thought.

regards,
Foozi

Hello Markus,
Very beautifully writen not and share your feeling and thought. Acompany with this very beautiful photo. Very nice close up shot of the stone, lovley texture and beuatiful colors. Every crack and peace carry with it a history, and a part of nature. Very well observed and taken with sensitivities. Thanks
Way

Markus, you are richly endowed with the gift of perceiving abstractions in the stone formations and you have created some of the most impressive images through it. This is one of them.
It requires a vital imagination to 'see' the prayer in this frame; however, even the visual appeal of the composition is immense.
It is a pleasure to enjoy this very unique nature imaging you have been sharing with us on TN.
Regards.
Ram

Hi Markus,
I really like the tall vertical framing. It suits the vertical lines perfectly.
I do have to say that I am not a huge fan of the frame, but that is a personal thing. I think though that the photo isn't as sharp as you other rock photos. I guess adding a bit more sharpness will do.
I am still amazed that you have such a keep eye for this type of photo. I think I would not know where to start or how to compose one.
TFS,
Niek

Hi Markus.
This problem was discussed in our country too. However, as usual for your keen eye allow us to see the beauty in common things. Wonderful pattern and refined reproduction of its features. Superb details and nice colours. My compliments and all the best to you and your fairy-tale country.
Alexei, with gratitude for kindness and lovely congratulations.
