[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note

Yesterday I was walking through our Botanical Garden and passed by an old and high Oak-tree, which is one of the dominant trees of the areal.
Very close to this tree there is a small basin where some of the dry leaves are falling in. Passing by this basin I saw a lot of tiny waterdrops sparkling in the sun and I tried to capture this beautiful sight.
Again some autumnal picture..I hope you like it.

great shot with beautiful colours
greeting lou

Hi Anne,
Wonderful shot with nice colors, good light and great details.

Hallo Anne!

Wunderbar, so sehr herbstlich, so schön anzusehen...

I don't like it Anne...i love it. This shot really needed to be pin sharp and crystal clear in order to achieve the maximum effect from such a compostion, and you really succeeded here. The soft varition of brown tones is sublime...i haven't added a photo into my favourites for a while, but this one is definitely going in there!

Hi Anne

I must admit that this abstract kind of photography is slightly out of my league,
but lovely has never been ugly (chuckle). It takes a good eye to see the hidden
potential and possibilities in such a scene. Obviously the trick is not merely in the
ability to squeeze the shutter release button. The choice of the material, or the
conscious selection of the layout, the grouping of the leaves, the whole setting
up of such a shot determines the final result. Not just any shot of a lot of leaves
are bound to be deemed as excellent. Not every one who know how to employ
a photo processing utility will then be able to achieve this level of excellence.

There is a golden thread that weaves through all of this and you managed to get
it all together in this well balanced potpourri of colours, textures and light.

Very well done and TFS.

hello Anne

Bonsoir Anne,
Superb use of the light and a fine composition has led to an excellent capture of these fallen Oak leaves with drops of water on them. the lighting does make these drops look like pearls and their diagonal line in the composition is marvellous!
Merci et bonne soirée,

Ciao Anne, a simple oak leave but fantastic light and wonderful drops, fascinating macro, very well done my friend, ciao Silvio

Bonjour Anne,

Hello Anne,
A wonderful capture showing fine detail and natural colors. Great DOF with excellent exposure. Love the composition and subject material!! I'm glad you took the time to gaze into the basin, one never knows from where or when a beautiful image will appear.

Ciao Anne,
una meravigliosa immagine autunnale, una composizione estremamente accurata in perfetto "still life" in cui ogni dettaglio cattura l'attenzione, straordinaria gestione della luce radente laterale che esalta la "texture" in una fantastica visione di forme e colori.
Grazie e complimenti
Buona giornata
Con amicizia

Hello Anne,
I really like your artistic composition of the leaves here.
The different shades of brown on the various leaves make an interesting display, and the drops of water add wonder to the tableau.
TFS. : )

Excelente y realista trabajo con la luz y las tonalidades. Mucho realismo.
Saludos: J. Ignasi.

Great sharpness and composition. This drops look giant when looking at such photograph, very good job, congratulations!

Nice shot! I like the artistic composition. And the glistening water droplets with their shadows falling on the leaves look wonderful. I wonder how it would look if you invert the image upside down, so that the leaf now points from top to bottom rather than from bottom to top as shown here. Anyways, an excellent picture indeed, and thanks for sharing it.
