Hello Markus,
When I saw this I knew it could not be anyone else's shot but yours!
A fine capture of flysch with a touch of gold! I like the transistion of the grey tones to the golden colour at the top anf the pattern show well in this lighting.

Hilarious note, Markus.
In fact, the figurative 'gold' that you dig out from your little river outweights the yellow metal in terms of 'value'.
This is a brilliant composition with an unusual formation of flysch.
This genre of nature photography you have evolved painstakingly on TN is something unique and worth emulating. In fact, I tried to do that last year when I was in the mountains for a while!

Hi Markus

Your intro page say that your "photography may be considered a little bit particular"
and that you "like the abstract aspect in nature photography". To this I have to say
that I am probably out of my league to critique this. I must hastily add that beautiful
has never been ugly and my eyes do know what it likes and this image definitively
pleases my eyes. I have great respect for you guys who can look at a given pattern
or something even more abstract that maybe do not even look like there's a pattern
yet you can conjure the most wonderful images from it. Although this may represent
a smorgasbord of shapes and sizes it is an amazing shot and the eyes totally enjoy
what it sees. After all one must remember that it is gold (chuckle).

Es scheint, dass die Aegera viel Geheimnisse verbirgt.. faszinierend die Vielfalt von Formen und Farben, die Du dort findest. Ein Bild, dass ohne Zweifel deine Signatur trägt. Subtile Farben, wie ich sie liebe.
Aber dorthin darfst Du sicher noch nicht gehen.

I have something similar to this but your lighting in the ar4ea where you shoot these is much better than mine which are covered with darkness from the shade of thick tall trees...A wonderful pattern of geology!

Hi Markus,
What a very beautiful photo of this very special stone. I love the gradient look from gold to white and the wave like texture of the gold part. The different layers a clearly visible. I am wondering if you shot this facing down. It is hard to fully understand what I am looking at and how it is positioned in the bigger picture.
The quality of the photo is excellent with great clarity, colors and details.
