Hi all!

I would like to dedicate this picture to all the Ladies that are a member of our community. Isn't it Valentine's Day? Isn't it the moment to tell them that I love them? The soft shapes of these ice covered stones and the delicate pastel colours made me think at them...

Usually, we tend to present sharp pictures with a deep clarity. When I was out that day looking for some interesting icy surfaces, I first believed I wouldn't take any pictures at all. It was quite warm the day before, the ice began to melt and the water flowed over the surface. At night it froze again and it started to snow a little. All this created this blurred surface that finally attracted my attention. I was delighted to realize that a blurred picture can be nice... at least for me.

Taken in RAW, basic corrections in Camera RAW (colour temperature, levels, sharpness). Import to PS CS4 and final postprocessing.

Kind regards

Markus

Ciao Markus,

Hi Markus!

It's indeed nice to see among all the definite lines of pictures we see. Softness with the low amount of colors but still with good contrast does make it special. And while being soft it doesn't lack details. TFS!

Best regards,
Andor

Hi Markus,

As one of the TN ladies, I thank you for this beautiful Valentine. Once again I am in awe of your ability to see such wonderful things that are there for all of us to see - but we don't. This is so soft and pretty with such lovely colors and patterns and textures. The more I look at it the more I see and the more I love it.

Jane

Hi Markus,
It's an artistic capture and lovely dedication
for Ladies on TN.I liked composition and
visual impact a lot.Have a great week!
Thanks for posting..

As usually Markus, a very fine and art-like image. And, maybe like you, not always I agree with perfect sharpness in a picture, a bit of softness is welkome, especually in this kind of abstract images.
Thank you also for your dedication!
All the best,
Oana

The texture of the snow flurry on the stones is like meticulous strokes with a fine brush on the canvas by an assiduous artist, Markus. That is where the beauty and appeal of this abstraction from nature lie. We are not counting on clarity here; that would turn the image mundane, as a matter of fact.
Once again, a subtle creation that suits the occasion of Valentine's Day on which we essentially think of pure love.
Thanks and regards.
Ram

Hi dear Markus ,

Another excellent macro/abstract from you, my friend!
I really like how you've concentrated on the "silhouettes" of these rocks under ice and how well you managed to capture their contour and even colors. This is a very well balanced exposure!
Also, i really like the look of the overall texture as it adds a lot to the mood and it enhances the cold feel of this photo.
Wonderful work once again, Markus!

Bravo and TFS

Lieber Markus,

Hello Markus,
Whatever the cause of the slight blurring, the effect of the ice in this state over the stones underneath is quite fascinating. I like the abstact pattern it has created and the softness of the texture makes a fine tribute to the gentle sex of our species.
Here's to the ladies of TN!
Thanks and my best wishes to you,
Ivan

Hello Markus,
I agree with you on this particular shot. The slightly blurred surface makes this image stand out and demands your attention. The textures and barely visible colors makes you really study this photo, and then you begin to see the inner beauty. Nicely composed!! TFS.

Oh! what nice dedication for our female friends! This is an impacting graphic paint. Best compliments and nice to meet you dear Markus.
I saw your gallery too and consider it relly a fantastic box of delicate hansome works. Soon.

Roberto

Hi Markus.

Top drawer Nature's Art and I'm sure this is a great pleasure for TN ladies. Really fine graphism and very well thought framing. The subdued tone and yet so much details are so pleasing.

Best regards,
Jusni
