From my backyard:

The Small heath (Lepidoptera; Satyridae; Coenonympha pamphilus L.; Kleiner Heufalter; Le procris) is sitting on Origanum vulgare that grows freely in my backyard. The Small heath has a wing span of about 28 mm.

ID: Since the presented Small heath has an unusual feature (three eyes instead of one on the underside of the upper wing), ID is in doubt. The other individuals in my yard had the regular "one-eye" character (see example in workshop area). The hind wing is however very "C. pamphilus-like".

Pleasing shot with good details Dietrich, much harder to shoot these very little guys with success..
Your flash has over-powered the image in my humble opinion, not bad though.
