Bonjour Anne,
Very original!
And yet from this unusual lateral POV when it has its wings open shows enough of its features to be able to see that this is M. didyma.
This image makes me think about several aspects:
The pose suggests that this butterfly is trying to release itself from the spiders webb that is visible both on the wing and the plant that it is on, though the butterfly looks as if it were still alive.
The use of flash illuminates the butterfly well but gives a 'night-time effect' with the dark BG and illumnated subject. This IMHO is fine for a night-active subject but this butterfly is active during the day.
What is your opinion?
Merci et bonne soirée,

Hello Anne,
Excellent composition and good sharp details.
Best Regards,

Bonsoir Anne,

In this angle it looks like a Zygaena sp. :)
Good capture with high details

nice closeup, TFS Ori

superb shot with side view in good bright colours. The details are really outstanding.
Very sharp view close up.

Hello Anne,
Nice capture with excellent colours.
Great focus and superb details.
Lovely composition with perfect contrast.

Hallo Anne,
