Shrubby Milkwort
Polygale faux-buis

Order: Fabales
Family: Polygalaceae
Size: 10-30cm, head: 1cm
Distribution: Especially in the alpine areas of Europe
Habitat: Pinewoods, dry grasslands

This is a very special evergreen subshrub, which is in blossom actually in altitude. Its flowers of ca 1cm have a very special shape and their ends are red or yellow.
It's rather a documentary shot, this plant having almost never been shown on this site.

Liebe Anne,
