A young black Woodpecker (Dryocopus martius) looking out of the nest.
I finally succeded in finding a nest of this very shy bird. You don't see them too often in my region so I was very glad to find this nest with at least 2 young inside.
The light is mostly not fantastic in the dense forest I had to use high ISO levels!

from Wiki:
The Black Woodpecker (Dryocopus martius) is a large woodpecker that lives in mature forest across the northern palearctic. It is the sole representative of its genus in that region. Its range is expanding in Eurasia. It does not migrate.
When the nest is ready, the female lays a single clutch of two to eight eggs, the average being four to six. The nest hole, usually in a live poplar or pine tree.[11] The breeding pair take it in turns to incubate the eggs, also sharing duties of feeding and brooding the chicks once they have hatched. The nestlings may fight their way to the entrance of the nest in order to be fed first. After 18 to 35 days the young black woodpecker will leave the nest, staying with the adults for another week

Bonjour Pierre,
Voilà un habitant charmant de Bueetigen, je dois dire que j'ai rarement vu cette espèce. Bravo d'avoir pu le capter ainsi, regardant par la fenêtre de son nid dans l'arbre.
