The only way I found to catch this Blue Hawker (Aeshna cyanea, Blaugrüne Mosaikjungfer. Aeshnidae) in flight was with manual focussing of the hovering animal. I used a flash, this deprived me of rapid serial shots.
technical: 1/4'000 sec, f/4, ISO 1'600, 450 mm eq., hand held.

Waaw Dietrich,a very very difficult one today but not for your another time as i can see,this in flight face to face is absolutely fantastic,the best details everywhere and the best bright colors too of one of the most big and beautiful drangonflies! Have a nice evening and thanks,Luciano
