|I saw this wasp in Partenit, small town near Alushta. Maybe it's Scolia Maculata, but I don't know exactly. It's VERY BIG - 6 or even 7 cm long!|

Hi Alex, welcome on TN!
Great picture of this big wasp. I like colours and composition. It looks little scary for me ;-)
Are you live on Crimea? I was there [in Aluszta] on holidays last summer - beautiful place full of big insects :-) If you wish, please look at my pictures from Crimea here - http://www.treknature.com/members/red45/

Hi Alex, nice to see you on TN. I hope you enjoy your time here. That is a BIG wasp. I've never seen one that big before. What dark wings he has too. Good composition - well done.
Welcome to TN Alex.
Ident looks spot on have a look at this on previously posted here Sebastien Lucas (Esox)- Scolia maculata it also has some more notes about it, though there are a lot of details on the net, all you need to do is type the name into google images and seeif the subjects match or simular ones show up, then look at the rest of the web for details about the life of yours subject. No doubt you will develope a style of posting as you share more great captures in the future. TFS (thank you for sharing)
