I just return from a short holiday at the Black See and in Bucegi Mountains - Romania.
You managed perfect this macro image with a big insect living also in my region. Outstanding clarity, focus and details. In the next weeks I will post some photos with birds living around the Black See coast.

Hello Alexei,
A great macro image of this fine looking grasshopper. It appears he injured one of his antenna which happens quite often. Perhaps it was lucky and got away from a bird who had planned on an easy meal.
Excellent detail and nice use of flash which really makes the colors pop. Well done!!

Hi Alex,
I love your other photo (what you linked in your note) about this insect. This one, even the technical details are perfect, seems a little unbalanced and incomplete to me composition-wise. PoV is good, but the whole insect should have been composed into the frame in my opinion.
