Hi Alexei,
Your wife was right and you acted correctly! A wonderful shot of all of these birds in assorted positions. Why would you need a background? Amazing how detailed all of these are. Very interesting analogy in your notes.

Hi Alexei,
Whow, that is a busy coffee break, but I noticed why it is so busy they have got cake with it. Alexei it makes me love it looks like spring too. And the black ones in front seems to me Common Coots.

Hallo Alexei
This indeed a very true illustration of what goes on behind the scenes at a fashion parade. Your title is most appropriate. Sjoe! (Wow in Afrikaans) this is so impressive. If have to start to comment on all the detail I see on this image, I think they will kick me of the site, because I am sure I'll use to much space. Once again Sjoe! The detail on the birds is outstanding. Just to mention one or two things that strikes me. On the foreground there is one of the swans with a piece of food in mouth. Just above it, there is a bird that looks as if is floating in the air. Just right of the floating bird is another one with food, and it looks as if it is feeding the chicks. Just behind that one, there is another one that looks as if he has just landed on one of its friends. Is this really for real? Or did you take hundreds of photos, cut them out and glued them together as one? Sjoe dit is wragtig pragtig. The detail of each individual bird is phenomenal and incredible. Fantastic shot. Much appreciated. I am jealous. Thanks for sharing.
Kind regards
Anna
amazing scene. It must be from a bird collect camp. Perfect capture Alexei.
I see four species at least, i.e. Cygnus olor, Fulica atra-black, Aythya ferina - Pochard (min three in rare and right of top), Larus ridibundus. Excellent. focus, POV, composition. great notes also. Thanks for this coffee break.
well done my friend and neighbour (my hometown also coast of Black Sea like yours:)

Hello Alexei,
I there were a prize awarded to the image with the most intensive activity this would surely be a winner!
This scene shouts with avian activity: I can imagine the noise the gulls make here and thanks to the camera setting almost every bird is sharply portrayed with great DOF. The chaos, the frenzy are all shown here and one can't be bored from looking at this one!
Thanks for sharing it my friend,

Hi Alexei
Wow! Now that's a big bunch of birds! :)
How is it that you found so many and that they are not scared? 70mm...phew! I recently visited a lake near my town and the smallest distance i could have between me and any bird is i think about 25-30 meters... :( You can imagine i could take any good photos...
Anyway, this is really remarkable that you have such a lovely place and i do hope to see more beautiful photos and close-ups from here from you.
Seeing this picture, i understand what you said before about a uniform BG :)) It's indeed difficult when you have so many possible subjects. :)
Yet, i like seeing so many birds in the wild and so many species, too.
The DOF here is really impressive, too - for an f/8, you got almost the entire place in good focus.
Nice work, my friend!
Bravo and TFS

Hello Alexei !
Wow, there are so many of them ! Sometimes diffcult to see where one begins and where the other ends ! :-) And I think the black bird are Common Coots (Fulica atra), but maybe someone already answered you - I didn't read all the critiques... There are wonderful details ont all these birds, nice natural colors, excellent composition and POV, and you managed to capture so many different poses... You can tell your wife she was right ! :-) Very well done !

Hi Alexei,
That must have been a hell of a noise. Its almost funny to see that many birds fight for a snack. The fact that you got three different kind of birds makes the photo all the more interesting. But the most interesting part is all the different poses of these birds.
it also impressive that you got some many in focus and with perfect exposure.

Hello Alexei, not only are you a great photographer but your sense of humour is fantastic too! I love this chaotic picture and even though there seems to be no order, it has a great composition: the black birds are at the bottom of the picture then, over their heads, you see the orange palms of seagulls taking flight, and all the seagulls are sharp and wings opened! The rest of the picture is filled with white swans and birds. Your wife was right. And it is really crowdy and fun to look at, thank you!

Terrific action shot, so much going on but I particularly like the gulls in flight, almost like they were 'superimposed' over the image. Exposure is perfect, considering all the 'white' in the photo, no blowout, and all the motion is frozen, just right. I really like this one... and the title is a perfect match.
Well done and TFS, Mish

Hello Alexeiu
There are so many great photos on your uploads, it is very difficult to know which one to comment on at any time.
This busy busy shot is just great.
It somehow reminds me of the chaotic traffic in New Delhi, India.
Just loads and loads of little creatures heading every which way that they can.
Really smart photo, and a great comment as always.
