This is an excelent shot. The bird is shown very well especialy for an image taken with a 200 mm lens. The bird must have been very close to you. You can be satisfied as the equipment works well. You have only to get aquinted with it.
Thank you for sharing,

This is a great close-up of a Gull with good focus on the eye and sharp details. Great control of the 'whites' and very well framed. I really like the angle of the capture showing the beautiful spread of the tail feathers. I understand your desire to fly as a bird!!

Your new equipment did prove itself in the best way - but the photographer deserves most of the credit! An excellent close-up with wonderful colors and details. The face is beautiful with the fine eye and beak. It's wonderful to see the top of one wing and the underneath of the second. My prediction is you will master your new kit in no time at all.

I like the POV and timing in this in-flight capture of the Common Gull (Larus canus). The upward wing position allows the body to be the main part of the image and you have caught it with excellent light management and sharpness.
A fine shot with your new equipment, tribute not only to that but to the photographer!
Thanks and best wishes,

It's an impressive and amazing capture so sharp and clear in its movement. The exposure is also perfect showing the beautiful whites of the feathers. I'm sure that you will make lots of marvellous pictures with your new equipment and this shot is a prove of that.
Congratulations, my dear friend, and thank you very much for sharing.

Even the tip of the wings are partially clipped, I can still see the fine exhibition of skills and accuracy in your shot. In flight captures are envious as far as I am concerned. To have the image pin sharp as this is truly amazing. Brilliant work and another superb contribution to TN.
Well done and best regards.

Hello My Friend,
Outstanding image of this in flight gull. You have captured razor sharp details of this gull, with great lighting. Thank tou Alexei for sharing this excellent composition.
This already is a fairly good attempt. I know how difficult it is. I have tried to take gulls last summer with my new 70-200mm lens, and not only one picture was good. Here, the sharpness is perfect and shows rich details. The only disturbing element - from my point of view - is the brown-grey vertival line of the background on the left.

It's always a time for adjusting and another for making the best out of it...and you do well not to be affected by the fact that you didn't succeed from your first try. I think it's the same with everything.
Even so, i think this shot here is very beautiful and interesting.
Most in-flight show a complete bird with the sky in the BG...you chose a bigger close-up on the body and head, cutting the wings and therefore creating something interesting, new and probably even more dramatic. Very nice!
Also, i think this is very sharp - especially on the head - gorgeously saturated and very well exposed.
Overall, a very charming job!
Bravo and TFS

CONGRATULATIONS for owning a new camera. A lovely capture of this flying gull to start with. Very well composed shot with excellent timing & sharp details. Thanks a lot for sharing.
Technically so well done. Add to your typical personal approach. Some kind of trademark if you wish.
Definitely the photographer at work here and not the tool which is probably very good?
Some day you'll fly;-)

Its so good all the details achieved on that white plumage. Not an easy thing.
I like the close approach and tight framing you've choose, to enjoy and better appreciate the dynamics of the seagull flight and all those feathers extended.
Willing to see the richness of your forthcoming full frame pictures
My compliments and thanks for share.

You seem to manage your superb new equipment correctly, Alexei, it's a matter of time to get used to it and get the shots you want! This is nice, though, perfectly sharp while the gull is moving, which is quite good to me, I couldn't do as good as you. You only missed the tips of the wings, next time will be perfect. Beautiful light, great sharpness, what more could you wish for! Add the pleasure to post on TN and our pleasure to read your always interesting notes! Thank you,

Another great photo of the flying gall. Perfecte sharpness, good exposure on white As always nothing to critique ;-)
What a pity you cropped the wing tips off! I know it wasn't intentional, but the composition seems incomplete this way. I mean, crop more, or don't crop at all. Technical aspects are brilliant, but the image got a little more brightness than imho the optimal. But the real problem (for me) is the slightly unbalanced composition with huge empty space below the gull. Compared to the huge dose of your really excellent photos, this is just a test one. I see in the queue many people had different opinion than mine - am I so different?!
Best regards, László
