[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
We had an unusual winter this year. December and January were rather warm (about 0 C), rainy and cloudy. February was very cold (-20 C) without any snow and any sunny day. In a word weather was not so suitable for photography. However, we have one attractive place (it is a ferry near Odessa) where wintering birds gather. Every year we go there to feed and shoot them.

Despite the sunlight absence and not very good light conditions there are many opportunities to catch few cute scenes.

On the shot, the crater from a big piece of bread is captured as well as the flash reaction of the swan.

Hello Alexei,
Nice to see a picture from you again. We heard about the deep cold you had in February, even colder than in my country. A special shot, the little hole created by the fallen bread is really surprising. We don't see this normally. As usual a well chosen composition. Nice natural colors too.
I wish you a nice day.
Kind regards

wonderful moment and scene with this beauty, your performance as usual great Alexei

Hello Alexei,
This could easily be a scene in my home area now.
Mute Swans are common and until recently there was a lot of ice!
The timing is great, the water whirlpool where the swan quicky raised his head with some aquatic vegetation in his bill is clearly shown with fine sharpness and WB andf the composition is perfect for the POV. The OOF coots in the BG would also be seen in large numbers here in Kalmar.
Thanks and best regards,

wow, this is really nice picture Alex for this elegant bird,

perfect details and very good control of the white,

have a good time,

ciao, tino

Hi Alex,

Hello Alexei

WOW ! with that splash at the water excellent
timing to have shot the photo, fine POV,
always great focus sharpness and details,
and with the 2 black colored off-focus birds of
the background it is almost like a black & white photo,

Hello Alexei,
This is a well-timed capture of a beautiful Swan! I like the lighting and the fine sharp details and colours. I also like the way you included the Coots in the background.
I hope spring comes to Odessa soon and look forward to seeing more posts from you!
TFS and best wishes, Ulla

Hello Alexei.
This is a stunning image captured during the cold season. The shot is sharp with vivid details. The tone is attractive with timing that is perfect in the frame.
Thanks and kind regards.

Privet Alexei,
Delightful capture with perfect timing, DoF and, even sun didn't shine, colors - not to mention the fabulous composition with the faraway birds as part of the game. :) Brilliant job! Bravo. However, this winter was strange with this weather (almost the same as yours, but with more snow), but spring seems even more strange. It's already 16th of March, but there wasn't any rain at all in the month. Tfs the fantastic pic.
Friendly regards, László
