I am confused a bit. There are many birds of the species in our region. I watch them almost every day in nearest brushwood. Neglected gardens around are really looked as brushwood.

They are very small and swift and it is difficult to take pictures of them. However, with help of my old constant friend Minolta telelens and not so impressive (in comparison with Nikon D700) new small crop-camera it became possible.

Shared shot is one from a long series and can help to identify the species, I suppose. My granddaughter calls them “Humming-birds” of account of their small size.

Thanks to our TN-friends PeterZ, tuslaw and rousettus (see his wonderful photo of the species Phylloscopus sibilatrix - Orman Civgini) the bird is identified.

Wood Warbler:

The Wood Warbler (Phylloscopus sibilatrix) is a common and widespread leaf warbler which breeds throughout northern and temperate Europe, and just into the extreme west of Asia in the southern Ural Mountains. This warbler is strongly migratory and the entire population winters in tropical Africa….

Hello Alex,
A great shot of what I believe is a Wood Warbler; Phylloscopus sibilatrix. You have done a fine job of photographing it while perched high in this tree. Excellent focus and wonderful eye contact. Beautiful colors and attractive catch light in it's eye. Well done!!

Hello Alexei,
The thumbnail is very discreet, but once opened it shows a most subtle bird-picture. Love the way you rendered the fine colours of the bird's plumage and the blue sky offers you the best possible colour-contrast. As usual excellent sharpness too. A very cute model you had! We just have to find out about its name.
Kind regards

Decent picture of this bird which looks like some kind of warbler ( may be Icterine Warbler,,, not sure )

the soft light and color tones it is rendering

Hello Mr.Alexei,
Very beautiful picture.Nice sharp picture with good light and details.Like its natural habitat too.Well captured.
Thanks for sharing,
Kind regards,

excellent capture with beautiful colours.

DOF impressive MF Alexei! Magnifcient colours stunning details.

Hi, Alexei
I hate to complicate matters, but this is actually a juvenile Willow Warbler Phylloscopus trochilus. The juveniles are much more brightly coloured than the adults, hence the similarity to Wood Warbler, but the Willow warbler is a common bird of scrub-land and garden, while the Wood Warbler is a bird of mature deciduous woodland. It's a very attractive photograph of the bird in its habitat, precisely focused and nicely lit.
Best wishes, Nigel.

Ciao Alex, great capture of lovely bird in a beautiful ambientation, fine details, splendid shartpness and wonderul natural colors, very well done, my friend, ciao Silvio

Hello Alexei,
It's very nice species and taken perfectly. I like pose this one and light. Because the bird is swift I admire your reflex and patience.
Regards, Pawel

Privet Alexei,
Fabulous composition and sharpness, very spectacular and impressive image, even with a slight cyan / blue overcast colorwise. About the ID I think Nigel is right, the Wood Warbler is a species of beech and spruce forests, while the Willow Warbler lives on riversides, in riparian habitats on lower altitude.
Best regards, László
